History
The SRRCD was established in partnership with local area municipalities and the Province of Manitoba Conservation Districts Program in January of 2002. The SRRCD was formed to provide an avenue to local people to allow them to work together, set resource management priorities, develop and deliver land and water management programs, and assist partners with responding to local issues in a sustainable manner.
In November 2005, the SRRCD officially received Registered Charitable Organization status.
